Ode To Sunset Monthly Digest for December, 2015

Wendt follows the Muse into the inner sanctum at the Penumbroi event where he is warned not to flush, learns about the seven chakras of poetry, and ends up in the self-devouring stew of literary pretenders. However after Wendt’s uncomplimentary description of the poets participating in the event, Allie Gary proffers her own stinging assessment of him and dashes any hopes that the two of them might come to an accommodation. As the fire department begins moving people out from the potentially crumbling  Reed Hotel, Wendt wanders the shoals of Michel Brezon’s rabble rousing speech meeting friend and foe alike, stepping in shit and smelling like a rose.
